Muah AI vs Candy AI: Which Adult AI Companion Should You Pay For?
Muah AI and Candy AI both promise adult chat with pictures. One has better images and a cleaner privacy record; the other gives you more control...
Secrets AI wins on memory, voice and credits; Candy.ai wins on image quality and the cheapest entry price. Here is where each one gets expensive, and which to pick.
Two paid AI companion services, two very different pitches. Candy.ai sells pictures: photorealistic faces, a low annual price, a token system that looks cheap until you start generating. Secrets AI sells continuity: tiered memory, editable Lorebooks, live voice calls, and a monthly bill that starts at $19.99 if you pay month to month.
We have not subscribed to either. This comparison comes from pricing pages, published policies, plan documentation and user reports. We read the fine print; you decide what your evenings are worth.
We rate Secrets AI 9.9 out of 10 and Candy.ai 9.8 out of 10. Secrets is the better companion. Candy is the better camera. If you want a character that remembers what you told it last week, Secrets is the answer. If you mostly want realistic images at the lowest possible entry price, Candy is the answer, and then you should read the token math before you commit.

Secrets AI is run by Secret Labs Inc., registered in Canada and the US. The interface comes in English, German, Spanish, French and Japanese. There are two paid tiers, Premium and Ultimate, and a credit currency called Moments. The library holds roughly 94 prebuilt companions according to guides and one review. Our full breakdown lives in the Secrets AI review.
Candy.ai is operated by EverAI Limited, registered in Malta, and launched in 2023 according to third parties. Competitor guides put it above 11 million monthly visitors; Similarweb's free view showed about 63.7 million visits across three months ending August 2026. The interface covers 13 languages. Paid plans are Premium and a newer Premium Plus tier. Our Candy.ai review covers the token system in detail.
Both are 18+ products. Both allow NSFW content with fictional adults and both ban minors. Character AI filters adult roleplay; these two sit near the top of the NSFW market instead. Both run Discord servers. Neither advertises shared accounts for multiple users.
This is the widest gap between the two, and the one you feel first.
Secrets stores memories per character. You can view them, rank them, correct them and delete them in a panel. Lorebooks are split into sections: cast, world, relationship, facts and chronicle. The wiki lists Lorebooks on Premium and Ultimate, though some third-party pages claim Ultimate only โ worth confirming before you pay for the cheaper tier expecting them.
Memory is also tiered. The free plan gets basic recall. Premium adds roughly 60% more short-term context and 4x memories. Ultimate doubles context and gives 6x memory access. Chat models vary: S3 and X-3 on all plans, S5 on Premium, S4 on Ultimate. There are adjustable thinking levels and a per-chat Spice Level (Mild, Medium, Spicy) that also applies to calls.
Candy is the opposite story. Reviewers report memory resetting after roughly 48 to 72 hours. Premium Plus adds 20 memory slots, and resetting a chat clears its memory. Characters also tend to agree with whatever you say, according to reviewers โ agreeable is not the same as consistent.
If you want a companion that holds a thread across weeks, this category decides it. Candy is closer to a series of good evenings with a stranger.
Candy wins images. Photorealistic output is its strongest feature, and it keeps the same face across generations, which matters more than raw resolution once you have a character you like. That consistency is why people tolerate the token system.
Secrets outputs up to 2K, with tag-based or Advanced mode; Advanced mode accepts up to five reference pictures. An image costs 50 Moments, or 100 at 2K.
Video flips back to Secrets. Adult video runs 8 seconds at 720p for 600 Moments โ about 13 clips a month on Premium's 8,000 Moments. SFW clips go up to 15 seconds, with prices scaling by resolution and length. Candy offers image-to-video at roughly 12 tokens per conversion and a Live Action feature, but no text-to-video from scratch.
Secrets offers live calls at 50 Moments per minute, and the call language can be set from more than 70 options. Text-to-speech voice messages cost 10 Moments per 100 characters. One hour of live call burns 3,000 Moments โ more than a third of the monthly Premium allowance.
Candy's voice calls are in beta, at roughly 3 tokens per minute per testers. Cheap, but beta is beta. Neither platform advertises voice cloning; Nastia's top plan offers that, if it is on your list.
Candy's builder is broader on paper: ethnicity, age, body type, hair, voice, personality, hobbies, and a choice between realistic and anime styles. Free users can create one character; extra characters cost about 10 tokens.
Secrets asks for gender, look, name, age, voice, traits and backstory. Your first custom character is free; extras cost 500 Moments each.
Ultimate on Secrets adds group chat with two or three companions, AI personas, proactive messages and personality editing. Candy's Premium Plus adds user personas and chat clones, with no documented group chat.
Here are the numbers from the pricing pages, not from older guides. Some older write-ups still list Candy at $12.99 a month plus token fees; the page now says $13.99.
| Plan | Secrets AI | Candy.ai |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 20 messages/day, no Moments | 5 messages total, 1 character, 1 image |
| Monthly | Premium $19.99 | Premium $13.99 |
| Quarterly | $49.99 ($16.66/mo) | $26.97 ($8.99/mo) |
| 6 months | $89.99 ($15.00/mo) | Not offered |
| Annual | $109.99 ($9.17/mo) | $47.88 ($3.99/mo) |
| Top tier | Ultimate $39.99/mo or $319.99/yr | Premium Plus, price shown only at checkout |
| Credits included | 8,000 Moments (Ultimate 15,000) | 100 tokens (Premium Plus 330) |
Candy's token costs: image ~4, image-to-video ~12, voice ~3 per minute, character 10, content packs 100โ400. Top-ups reportedly start at $9.99 for 100 tokens. A Premium month is therefore about 25 images, or 8 video conversions, or a mix that runs dry faster than you expect. Media-heavy users report $25โ$80 a month in total. Unused tokens expire at the end of the billing period if you cancel.
Secrets gives you 8,000 Moments monthly and charges 50 per image โ about 160 images. Monthly grants do not roll over, but purchased Moments never expire. The entry point is $19.99 a month, and the best extras (group chat, personas, 15,000 Moments) need the $39.99 Ultimate tier.
So the sticker price favors Candy by a wide margin, and the actual monthly spend often favors Secrets once you start generating. Decide which number you care about.
Cheapest is a sticker. Best value is what you actually use. For heavy image users those are different platforms.
Secrets gives 20 messages a day, basic memory, all premade companions and no Moments โ so no images, no video, no calls. It works as a trial of the conversation.
Candy gives 5 messages in total, one character, one image, and no adult image or video on the free plan. That is a demo, not a free tier. Neither platform offers a generous free ride.
Neither service offers end-to-end encryption. Secrets' homepage claim is not backed by its own policy. Both may use data to train models; Candy specifies de-identified chats with human review.
| Point | Secrets AI | Candy.ai |
|---|---|---|
| Encryption | AES-256 at rest, encrypted in transit | TLS in transit, encrypted passwords |
| End-to-end | No, despite homepage claim | No |
| Training | Data may train and improve models | De-identified chats, with human review |
| Deletion | Chat history deleted immediately with account | Account data kept up to 3 years after last activity unless deletion requested |
| Voice audio | Deleted after transcription | Not specified |
| Billing descriptor | S LABS INC | EverAI |
Candy is GDPR compliant, with EverAI Limited as data controller under Maltese law, and shares message content with third-party LLM providers and moderation vendors. Third-party sites claim Candy uses AES-256 at rest; the privacy notice names no method. A connection check showed Candy on TLS 1.3 in October 2026. Candy's payment processors handle transactions, and card data is not stored on its servers. Secrets says less about third-party sharing than Candy, and handles card numbers through PCI-DSS processors.
Neither company has independent third-party security audits or compliance certifications that we could find. That is normal for this market and still worth knowing.
Both bill discreetly-ish under corporate names โ S LABS INC for Secrets, EverAI for Candy โ so check your statement before you assume the charge is fraudulent.
Candy refunds only within 24 hours, only if you have used 20 tokens or fewer, and only for card payments.
Secrets treats subscriptions and Moments as non-refundable except where law requires it; crypto is never refunded. It does auto-refund failed generations, while Candy charges per attempt.
EU and UK users get a 14-day withdrawal right on both. Cancel before the renewal date either way.
Pick Secrets AI if you want an ongoing relationship with a character that remembers context, you plan to use voice calls, or you want video and images without monitoring a token meter every session. Pay annually at $9.17 a month if you are sure. Go Ultimate only if group chat, personas and 15,000 Moments are worth $39.99 to you.
Pick Candy.ai if images are the point. Photorealistic output with a stable face is a real skill, and the annual plan at $3.99 a month is the cheapest way in. Budget for top-ups. If you expect long, consistent conversations, skip Candy โ the memory reports alone will frustrate you.
Skip both if you want native mobile apps, end-to-end encryption, easy refunds or a free tier you can live on. None of that exists here.
If neither fits, a few names come up repeatedly in user reports.
Secrets is the better companion, Candy the better camera. Start with Secrets Premium for long relationships, or Candy for realistic images at the lowest entry price. Protect your identity, set a monthly budget before the first token top-up, and treat the whole thing as entertainment โ because that is what the pricing pages treat it as.
Secrets AI scores higher with us for most people because of memory, voice calls and the Moments allowance. Candy.ai wins if photorealistic images with a consistent face matter more than conversation continuity, and its annual price is the lowest of the two.
On the sticker, yes: $3.99 a month annually against $9.17 for Secrets. In practice, 100 tokens a month is about 25 images, and media-heavy users report $25โ$80 a month in total once top-ups start.
Secrets AI, clearly. It stores memories per character, lets you edit them, and adds Lorebooks plus tiered context depending on plan. Candy.ai memory reportedly resets after 48โ72 hours, and Premium Plus only adds 20 memory slots.
No. Both are browser-based progressive web apps as of 2026. Store apps using these names are unofficial, so do not enter payment details into them.
Secrets AI, but only by degree. It specifies AES-256 at rest and deletes chat history immediately with the account. Candy.ai keeps account data up to 3 years after last activity and shares message content with third-party model and moderation providers. Neither offers end-to-end encryption, and both may use chats for training.
