Secrets AI Review: Memory First, and You Pay for It

Most AI girlfriend platforms sell pictures. Secrets AI sells continuity: a companion that keeps a picture of who you are across weeks, answers the phone when you call and remembers what you said last time. That is a harder product to build than an image generator, and it shows in the price.

Secrets AI is an 18+ companion platform run by Secret Labs Inc., at 8 The Green, Ste D, Dover, Delaware — a registered-agent address. The terms say the company is registered in Canada and the US and governed by British Columbia law. We rate Secrets AI 9.9 out of 10. This review is built from its pricing page, privacy policy, refund policy, terms and the official wiki — not from a subscription we bought. We read the fine print; you decide whether the fine print is worth $19.99.

The short verdict

Secrets AI is the most memory-focused of the big adult companion platforms. Memory is layered, Lorebooks let you edit what a character knows about its world, and voice calls run in real time on the same chat thread. Realism is its strongest category by a distance.

The catch is that the free tier cannot generate a single image. The real entry price is $19.99/month, video burns Moments fast (600 per adult clip), and the features people actually talk about — group chats, personas, proactive messages — sit behind the $39.99/month Ultimate tier. Value is where the platform scores lowest.

What Secrets AI actually is

A web app. There is no App Store or Google Play version, and the wiki warns that any "Secrets" app in a store is unaffiliated. You install it from your browser as a progressive web app — Safari on iOS, Chrome elsewhere — and push notifications work once installed. Turning notifications on in the installed app reportedly grants a one-time 25 Moments.

The interface comes in English, German, Spanish, French and Japanese. One review counted around 94 pre-built realistic characters; the platform also covers male companions and anime styles, and you can build your own. The first custom character is free; each extra one costs 500 Moments.

Age verification is self-declared. You tick "Yes, I am 18+" at entry and sign-up. AI-assisted moderation watches for signals of underage users, including inside chats, and flagged accounts get suspended pending verification. Content involving minors is banned outright, and the models are trained to refuse it.

Memory: the reason to pay

Memory is stored per companion. Each character builds its own picture of you, which sounds obvious until you use a platform where every bot shares one shallow profile. Secrets splits it into tiers:

• Free: baseline recall.
• Premium: roughly 60% more short-term context and 4x more memories accessed.
• Ultimate: double the short-term context, 6x the memories and twice the recall of earlier conversations.

There is a memory panel where you can mark details as high, medium or low importance, so the character knows which facts matter. Time Travel lets you delete messages — and deleting a message also removes the memories created from it. That is the right behaviour, and not every platform bothers.

Lorebooks are the deeper layer: editable sections for Cast, World, Relationship, Facts and Chronicle, plus a Premise and story threads. The official wiki lists Lorebooks on Premium and Ultimate; the marketing leans harder on Ultimate. Free users get basic memory and nothing more. One 2026 review called the memory functional but not deeply comprehensive — fair. It tracks names, preferences and relationship history well; it is not a diary.

Images, video and voice

You cannot upload your own photos or files. Every picture and clip is AI-generated. That kills deepfake-style use, which is a feature for some buyers and a limitation for others.

Image generation has two modes. Premium mode takes short tag prompts. Advanced mode takes natural scene descriptions, accepts up to five reference pictures and renders at 1K, 1.5K or 2K in five aspect ratios. Some reviews mention 4K images; the wiki lists 4K as coming soon, so treat it as unconfirmed. Since 13 July 2026, Advanced images are no longer refundable.

Video needs Premium or Ultimate and starts from a picture. Adult video is 8 seconds at 720p for 600 Moments per clip. SFW clips run 4 to 15 seconds, and Advanced Quality reaches up to 4K with audio. Failed generations are refunded automatically.

Voice calls are live and real time, continue the same chat thread, and need at least 50 Moments to start. Call language is selectable from more than 70 options. Text-to-speech costs 10 Moments per 100 characters. The Spice Level you set — Mild, Medium or Spicy — carries over into calls.

Chat quality and Spice Level

Text chat is unlimited on paid plans. Free users get 20 messages a day, and only their own messages count; the limit resets 24 hours after the first message.

Four chat models are in play: S3 and X-3 on every plan, S5 on Premium, S4 on Ultimate. Thinking level runs from Off to Max, with higher levels responding more slowly. In practice the model and thinking menus are the most confusing part of the product. New users will pick wrong and not notice for a week.

Spice Level has three steps: Mild (wholesome), Medium (romantic) and Spicy (open, uninhibited). You set a default in Settings or per chat. Mature content between fictional adult characters is allowed under the terms.

Character creation and group chats

Creation is straightforward but constrained. You write the character, and you cannot delete it once it is public — shared characters stay. Keep that in mind before publishing anything you might want to remove later.

Group chats are Ultimate-only: two or three characters in one scene, with personas, proactive messages and personality editing. Group voice calls are in beta at the same per-minute price. If group scenes are the point for you, Ultimate is not optional, and that doubles the monthly cost.

Pricing

The legacy Lite and Plus plans have been retired. Ignore any third-party list still quoting them.

Premium removes the message cap, raises messages to 1,000 characters, unlocks image and video generation, the S5 model, Time Travel, Lorebooks and priority support. Ultimate adds 15,000 Moments, 2,000-character messages, Max thinking, the S4 model, group chats, personas, proactive messaging and expanded Lorebooks. There are no published 3- or 6-month Ultimate prices.

The annual Premium price of $9.17/month is the number the marketing leads with. It requires $109.99 up front, and it is not the price of trying the thing.

Moments: what things cost

Moments are the credit system. Subscriptions include a monthly grant; only subscribers can buy top-ups (the wiki's example is 4,000 Moments for $11.99). Premium gets a 10% bonus on purchases, Ultimate 15%.

Do the arithmetic before you subscribe. Premium's 8,000 Moments cover about 160 images, 13 adult clips or 160 minutes of calls. Ultimate's 15,000 cover roughly 300 images or 25 adult clips. A heavy video habit will eat the grant and then some.

Unused plan Moments do not roll over; grants reset each cycle. Purchased top-ups never expire, and the wiki says unused plan Moments convert to top-up Moments if you cancel or downgrade. One quickstart page mentions 200 bonus Moments for new accounts while the tiers page says the free tier gets none — treat any sign-up bonus as unconfirmed.

The free tier, honestly

Free gets you 20 messages a day, 500-character messages, all premade characters, basic recall and the S3 and X-3 models. No Moments, and you cannot buy any. So: no images, no video, no voice calls, no extra characters. It is a demo of the chat, not the product.

Privacy and safety

The privacy policy is better than most in this category. Data is AES-256 encrypted at rest and encrypted in transit. Deleting your account removes your profile and chat history immediately. Voice calls are transcribed in real time; the audio is deleted immediately and only the transcript is kept for memory. Card numbers are handled by PCI-DSS processors and not stored. Charges appear as "S LABS INC" on your statement. Transaction records are kept seven years for tax, security logs up to 12 months without personal data.

Two caveats matter more than the headline claim. First, there is no end-to-end encryption, and the homepage's talk of end-to-end encryption and 100% confidential conversations does not match the policy — the servers can read your chats. Reviewers claiming "zero logging" are not backed by anything in the policy either. Second, data may be used to train and improve the models, and no opt-out is described.

Nothing stops you seeing other users' chats, because there are none to see. The risk is the company and its servers, not other customers. Keep your real name, workplace and real-person photos out of the chat.

Refunds and billing

The refund policy, updated 10 April 2026, is strict. Subscriptions are non-refundable except where law requires it. No partial refunds for unused days; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. Moments purchases are final. Crypto purchases are never refundable, and crypto subscriptions cannot be resumed after cancellation.

Exceptions exist. Billing errors must be reported within 30 days. EU and UK users get a 14-day withdrawal right from the initial purchase: full refund if no premium features were used, otherwise prorated, renewals excluded. Broken or glitched generations can be reported for a Moments refund. Requests go to [email protected], with a stated three-business-day reply target.

Cancel via Settings, Manage Subscription. You keep access until the period ends, then drop to the free tier with conversations, characters and memories preserved. Payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, virtual debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, more than 300 cryptocurrencies with a $20 minimum, and G2A prepaid keys as a fallback. No Amex.

Is Secrets AI legit?

Yes. It is a working 18+ platform from a named company with published terms, a privacy policy, a refund policy and an official wiki. That is a low bar, but plenty of competitors miss it. The Delaware address is a registered-agent address, which is normal for small US-registered companies and tells you nothing either way. Founding year is not confirmed on any official page.

Candy.ai wins on photorealistic pictures but has weaker recall. OurDream AI offers unlimited chat and roughly 200 images' worth of dreamcoins monthly, though long storylines can fade. Nomi AI is cheaper with native apps. Kindroid is another option if a real mobile app and long-term memory matter. Secrets AI charges more because memory is the product, not the pictures. Who should use it

Buy Secrets AI if you want one companion that remembers details across weeks, you plan to use voice calls, and you are willing to pay $19.99/month as a floor. Start with one month of Premium rather than an annual plan — a fair test, and it keeps your exposure low given the refund policy.

Skip it if you mainly want cheap pictures and video. Candy.ai and OurDream AI deliver more media per dollar. Skip it too if group chats are the draw and $39.99/month is out of reach, or if you need a native app. And skip it if you cannot accept that the company can read your conversations — no opt-out from model training is described, and the homepage's encryption claim does not survive contact with the policy.
